HERE FOR GOOD – SK FORM & FINISH INC

by Foundation Team / Tuesday, 04 December 2018 / Published in NEWS

SK Form & Finish Inc. was launched in 1992 by Steve Kraushar when he and a part-time employee took on their first driveway job. Since that time SK has grown to specialize in all aspects of concrete formwork and concrete finishing. They understand and respect the construction process and invest in their team to ensure that every SK employee has the same attention to detail and care that has made them the success that they are today.

But as Steve puts it, “Doing concrete, this is just a front for what we actually get to do.”

Recently named Winner of the Business Excellence Campaign of the Year by the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce for their “It’s More than Just Concrete” campaign, Steve and Angie Kraushar of SK Form and Finish demonstrate in their daily actions that for them, it is definitely more than just concrete! SK Form and Finish is Here For Good in more ways than one. They have created a culture that brings out the best in their team and it shows.

There are three pillars that guide the SK team in their day to day work. The pillars are Honesty & Integrity, Healthy Family & Relationships, and Reliability & Leadership. Each of these pillars are used to guide everyday conversation at SK and in many ways enable each staff person to act as an owner.

SK’s commitment to their staff extends to their time both in and out of work. Each morning the staff and management gather for a healthy meal to start the day before heading out to the field and once per month, each team member is sent home with a meal kit to prepare and share with their family.

From sponsoring sports teams and community trash cleanup to contests that encourage staff to be safe on-site, SK Form and Finish is deeply invested in the communities in which they live and work. Their belief in the the people around them is contagious and we are excited by the work they do to make their community a better place.

We would like to thank Steve and Angie for sitting down to meet with us and sharing the ways you are Here for Good!
